2017 m2 Select Block Zinfandel

It is a rare thing for a vineyard to reach one hundred years of age. With this bottle of wine we celebrate the fruit of the vine, the heritage of the land, and three generations of the Soucie family who have nurtured this ground since 1916. Planted in 1916, this wine was grown in one of the finest Zinfandel vineyards in California; it is true “Old Vine” wine. The vineyard is owned and managed by fifth-generation Lodi native Kevin Soucie; the vines were planted by his grandfather, Edward Soucie, Sr.
This is a dark ruby red Lodi Zinfandel. A bigger wine than the regular Soucie Zin. This wine is bright with beautiful black cherry notes, a little bit of earthiness, and finishes with mild tannins and a great velvety mouthfeel.
