2021 Michael David Deluca Vd OVZ
One of our most well known varietals, Zinfandel has helped put Lodi - and Michael David Winery - on the international wine map. The grapes for this wine are from an exceptional Old Vine vineyard in the Clements region of the Lodi AVA, about 25 minutes east of the winery. The Phillips family purchased this vineyard from the Deluca family in 2017, with this bottling marking our third vineyard designate from this property.
TASTING NOTES
Sourced from a stunning Old Vine Zinfandel vineyard located in the Clements Hills sub-AVA, this 2021 Michael David Zin offers bright red fruit and caramel on the nose. Blackberry, mocha and cedar box flavors fill the palate with fruit forward and spice notes carried through to the finish. Medium bodied, well balanced and easy drinking.
