HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN FARMING? 
I have been farming with my family in our vineyards for 83 years. My family has been farming for 94 years.

HOW HAS THE LODI WINE REGION CHANGED OVER THE YEARS OR SINCE YOU’VE BEEN HERE?
Over the 80 plus years I have been involved in growing grapes, many things have changed. For example, when I started farming grapes, we harvested by hand and delivered it to the wineries in 50lb wood boxes. Now we pick most of our crop with a machine and deliver it by the ton to most wineries by truck and trailer. In the past, irrigation consisted of a furrow or ditch; now we use drip irrigation.

HOW MANY ACRES DO YOU FARM AND WHICH VARIETIES DO YOU GROW?
We grow 54 acres of winegrapes including Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault.

CURRENTLY, WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO DRINK?
It’s a toss-up! I reach for red wine or a brandy.
