HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY BEEN FARMING WINEGRAPES?
Our family has been farming since 1899, and I’ve been farming since the 1970s.

HOW MANY ACRES DO YOU FARM AND HOW MANY VARIETIES DO YOU GROW?
We farm a couple thousand acres and grow all kinds of varieties.

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU’D LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT LODI?
We’re adaptable; we can grow all varieties and administer all types of farming techniques.

HOW HAS THE LODI WINE REGION CHANGED OVER THE YEARS OR SINCE YOU’VE BEEN HERE?
The biggest change to Lodi over the years has been in terms of growth and recognition of quality of winegrapes and wines.

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ANOTHER CAREER OR START OVER, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
I would be a high school agriculture teacher. 

WHAT ITEMS ARE CURRENTLY IN THE CENTER CONSOLE OR GLOVEBOX OF YOUR TRUCK OR CAR?
Gloves, maps (yes, I’m old), and keys.
