MEET OUR PEOPLE

Craig Ledbetter

Vino Farms, LLC / Vice President & Partner

WHERE WERE YOU BORN & RAISED?
I was born in Fresno in 1976 and raised – since 1978 – in Lodi.

HOW MANY ACRES OF WINEGRAPES DO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FARM?
We farm 17,000 acres statewide; 4,500 acres in Lodi.

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU’D LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT LODI?
How authentic the people are; how everyone is willing to work together as a team.

FARMING IN LODI MEANS…
Family; working hard; being honest; being leaders; being progressive; always genuine.

WHO HAS BEEN THE MOST INFLUENTIAL MENTOR IN YOUR CAREER?
My dad, John Ledbetter. He taught our family how to value hard work, integrity, vision, innovation, and leadership in our industry and community. He taught me how to balance the needs of business and family – that decisions in business should benefit it and the family equally.

IF YOU COULD MEET ANYONE, LIVING OR DEAD, WHO WOULD THAT BE AND WHY?
Charles Barkley – he wears his emotions on his sleeve and doesn't sugarcoat his thoughts. Being similar, I appreciate people like him. I often tell people: don't ask me the question if you cannot handle the answer.

CURRENTLY, WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO DRINK?
I hate to admit this, but tequila is my drink of choice.

WHAT ITEMS ARE CURRENTLY IN THE CENTER CONSOLE OR GLOVEBOX OF YOUR TRUCK OR CAR?
Keys to the ranch, a pocket knife, a calculator, safety glasses, and a headlamp.
