Alta Mesa, Cosumnes River and Jahant AVAs 3-Pack
This three-pack highlights the Lodi Appellation’s three most central sub-AVAs: Jahant, Cosumnes River, and Alta Mesa. Included wines:
Michael Klouda Stem Theory, Alta Mesa AVA (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon)
Peltier Winery Rosé of Pinor Noir, Cosumnes River AVA
St.Amant Winery Barbera, Jahant AVA
About these AVAs:
Jahant AVA – Relatively flat with old, eroded floodplain deposits and river terraces, Jahant AVA is home to 9,000 acres of planted winegrapes. Its pinkish sandy clay loam is one of its defining characteristics.
Cosumnes River AVA – Home to 3,500 acres of planted winegrapes, Cosumnes River is Lodi’s coolest climate AVA due to near sea-level elevation and proximity to Delta fog.
Alta Mesa AVA – Known for its fairly flat, tabletop or mesa-like topography interspersed with river terraces, Alta Mesa AVA is home to 5,300 acres of planted winegrapes.
