2016 Peltier Winery Estate Grown Old Vine Zinfandel
White pepper, jammy boysenberry and plum are rounded out by sweet aromatics, tobacco and a touch of smokiness. Hailing from 60+ year old vines and then aged for 12 months in new French Oak Barrels, this Zin is medium bodied with a long finish. Try roasted quail and a rich and creamy potato gnocchi with this intense Zin. Smoked meats like bbq baby back ribs will release the spices outlining this wine while an assortment of cheeses and some candied walnuts will entertain your post dinner desires.
