At Borra Vineyards we’re pretty crazy about our wines. In my mind, at the end of the day, nothing beats sharing a table with a bunch of friends and a few excellent bottles of wine. To make those bottles, I’ll get on my tractor at 2:30 a.m. to work the vines no matter how cold or dark. If a Zin, Barbera or Rhone-style blend needs to age in barrels a bit longer, or could use some blending wine, we’ll do whatever it takes to make it that much better. I started Lodi’s first tiny bonded boutique winery right here behind a backyard shack in 1975. We’ve come a long way since then, honing our skills with equipment and growing grapes under the latest sustainable Lodi Rules, but our no-fiddling winemaking still feels pretty much the way it did when I was a young fella. So grab all your friends and stop on by for a visit to get to know the real people behind the vines and wines that bear my name. Cheers! Steve Borra
