Wine & Chocolate Weekend in Lodi!
OMG, HUH, YGLT: the Wine & Chocolate Weekend in Lodi Wine Country, coming up February 12 & 13, 2011! wkewl…
Okay, translation: omigod, have you heard, you’re going to love this… way cool… and we’re not exaggerating (i.e. NBS)! What better way to spend Valentine’s Day weekend than sipping fabulous Lodi wine while indulging in decadent chocolates with your BF, GF, BFF, or even BFFN (best friends for now)?
Here’s how it works: Lodi grown wines and matching chocolates will be the tasting theme at over 40 participating wineries from 11 AM to 4 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, 02/12-13. Should you be so bold and brazen a wine and chocolate lover to purchase tickets, you will have the opportunity to travel from winery to winery at your heart’s content, taking in each winery’s hosted activities, which will entail live music, barrel tastings, cellar tours, and of course, lots of great wine and chocolate. Then the chocolaty surprise: you will also have the opportunity to win from over 100 prizes by unwrapping the Golden Ticket, which will be hidden in this year’s commemorative chocolate tin.
2kewl! “Wine & Chocolate Weekend is one of most popular events,” says Courtney Thommen, Lodi Winegrape Commission’s Events Manager extraordinarie. “What’s more romantic than wine and chocolate, and who doesn’t love that we’ve taken care of the planning and details for you? All you have to do is show up, and we’ll make sure it’s a Valentine’s weekend you won’t soon forget!”
TIX: Tickets may be purchased right now online at Lodi Wine Country’s Wine & Chocolate Weekend, or by calling the Lodi Wine & Visitor Center at 209.365.0621. Ticket prices are $45 in advance or $55 during the event. Tickets will include a commemorative wine glass and chocolate tin, and admission to all the tastings and events taking place at the participating wineries. Each ticket is valid for both Saturday and Sunday, and as always, designated drivers are also highly recommended.
